    Dear Friend is a snug cocktail and oyster bar that helped put Dartmouth's downtown on the map, and the drinks are the main event. The cocktails have a culinary streak to them, the kind that makes you realize someone back there is actually thinking. Beers and ciders are mostly local, wines lean funky, and the bentwood stools and cafe-ish vibe make it easy to stay for one more round than you planned.
