Korean Cocktail Bar
A cocktail lounge called Ok Yeah tucked into the back tells you everything about the vibe here. Hey Kiddo is a playful, Asian-inflected restaurant and bar on the third floor of a Tennyson Street building, with a rooftop deck most people don't find on the first visit. The menu runs on shareable plates, and the team behind it earned a James Beard Outstanding Restaurateur semifinalist nod. The room skews young and loud in the best way.

Japanese Noodle Shop
The strip mall on 38th Ave gives nothing away, but inside this ramen shop, charcoal walls, dark wood, and a ceiling full of mismatched colored lanterns set a tone the exterior has no interest in hinting at. The menu runs from miso bacon broth to brothless noodles to a spice-forward bowl called Death Wish, which commits to the bit. The Michelin Guide has given it a Bib Gourmand, and the room fills up fast enough to make that feel predictable.

An old movie house in the Berkeley neighborhood that survived decades of disrepair to become one of Denver's more reliably eclectic live venues. Music, comedy, circus, and things harder to categorize all share the same stage, which makes checking the calendar a worthwhile habit. The room still carries the bones of its original life, and the scale keeps it intimate enough that there isn't really a bad spot in the house.
