Copper Star is a laid-back coffee shop open early every day, with a drive-thru for the rushed and a shaded patio for everyone else. The hanging mobile above the bar commemorating a local murderess sets the vibe perfectly.

One hard pull and you're in: glowing dance floor, disco ball, machines to lose quarters in. The crowd is wonderfully random, goths and Disney adults and post-concert indie kids all sharing the same floor, which somehow works completely.
