    Moulded ceilings, chandeliers, and hardwood floors set the scene in this casual fine dining room inside a Renaissance manor hotel, where the name is literally the year the building went up. The kitchen runs a four- or five-course menu alongside à la carte, and the evening opens with aperitifs and amuse-bouches prepared in the foyer before you're shown to your table, which is a lovely bit of theatre for guests who've already dressed for the occasion.
