Bare-wood cabins on stilts above the Alsatian treeline, designed by a Franco-Danish landscape architect and a Norwegian colleague who apparently compared notes on forests and ran with it. This is a cabin hotel where the Nordic modernism is warm rather than austere, and some cabins come with a sauna or Jacuzzi. The central lodge, Felles Hytte, handles breakfast and dinner with the same hillside views you woke up to.
