A converted Burgundy abbey with thirteen rooms and four suites that were never meant to be hotel rooms, and it shows in the best way, each one a different shape carved out of stone walls and spiral staircases. The interiors look centuries old because most of them are. Whirlpool baths and modern comforts have been smuggled in without disturbing the atmosphere. The monks who once lived here would be appalled, which is probably the point.
