1. Airelles Val d'Isère

    A ski-in/ski-out luxury resort planted right at the base of some of the best slopes in Europe, which honestly does most of the selling itself. The chalet-style property fits the alpine village without screaming "money," even though it absolutely costs money. Seven bars and restaurants for 41 rooms means you're never far from a drink, and Nobu's Matsuhisa outpost adds a genuinely surprising touch. Valets sort your gear; someone hands you a crêpe when you return.
