The stained-glass cupolas and sunflower wrought ironwork are original to the building, a former Italian insurance company's headquarters that later housed the Ritz-Carlton. The UAE-based Habtoor group took over and kept the grandeur intact, adding butler service for upper-floor suites and views over St. Stephen's Basilica. A Forbes Four Star hotel with a spa, indoor pool, and a lobby lounge lively enough to visit even if you're not staying.
