A two-floor restaurant tucked into Xagħra's main square, with a small terrace out front that gives little away. The chef, a Toronto transplant, runs a focused meat-and-seafood kitchen where the cooking stays close to the ingredient and doesn't overcomplicate things. The wine list travels well beyond Malta, and the service is warm without hovering. Exactly the kind of neighborhood spot Gozo does quietly and well.
