Alenda
Asturian Spanish
A husband-and-wife restaurant tucked into a tiny Asturian village, where the vegetable garden sits right beside the dining room and whatever's in it arrives on the table minutes later. The couple run menus built around fish pulled daily from the auction houses at Lastres and Tazones and serious local beef, all cooked in a contemporary style. The name is an Asturian word for pausing to breathe, which tells you the pace they're after.
