Hyatt's Andaz label trades the standard resort playbook for a luxury-boutique register, and at Wailea it has a coastline that does most of the heavy lifting. This is a full-scale Maui resort where the Pacific sets the mood and the property leans into it rather than competing with it. The kind of place where the surroundings are so absurdly good that a decent hotel would coast; this one declines to merely coast.
