Anthony's Kitchen
Ethiopian
The chef serves your food himself, then explains the dish after you eat it, which turns a one-Michelin-star restaurant into something closer to a conversation. Anthony Sarpong, Ghanaian-born, draws on African culinary traditions through two set menus, one of them vegetarian, each running four to six courses. The room is refined and relaxed, the kitchen is open, and the whole setup doubles as a cookery school for those who come back wanting to understand the plates a little better.
