Four timber lodges built above Obermaiselstein with wood from the family's own land, named after the owners' grandparents, which is either the sweetest thing or the most effective marketing in the Allgäu, possibly both. Each lodge has a private sauna, an outdoor whirlpool, and a fire bowl on the loggia, with the Höfats massif filling the view. Breakfast arrives each morning through a dedicated hatch, no knock required: Allgäu cheese, farm eggs, a braided loaf.
