Six rooms, one cottage, no children, and a pool shaded by olive trees: Après la Sieste is a small adults-only guesthouse just outside Avignon that takes its name seriously. The interiors range from quietly minimal to full Zen-mode, with soaking tubs and Buddha statues for those who lean into it. Day trips to Avignon, Nîmes, and the Cévennes are easy from here, which gives you a convenient excuse for doing absolutely nothing.
