Aramness Gir National Park

Eighteen double-story bungalows arranged along a cobbled lane, each with a private plunge pool and sandstone screens that throw patterned light across the walls, form this luxury lodge on the edge of Sasan Gir, the only place on earth where wild Asiatic lions still roam. The kitchen runs off an on-site garden, Kutchi mud-and-mirror artwork lines the walls, and most of the staff come from the village next door, which gives the whole place a grounded feeling that most wildlife lodges only gesture at.
