    Floor-to-ceiling windows frame Lac du Bourget and Mont Revard, which is either the most beautiful thing in the Savoyard Alps or very close to it. This is a Michelin-starred creative French restaurant where the chef builds tasting menus around the lake's own fish, mountain cheeses, and wild blueberries with a precision that borders on the devotional. Two set menus, no à la carte choices to agonize over, and a wine list that takes local grapes surprisingly seriously.
