You arrive through forest on a winding country road, pass under massive stone arches, and find a suited doorman waiting, which sets the tone. Rooms run to Italian marble, toile de Jouy, and velvet-upholstered antiques. The grounds offer polo, riding, golf, and a museum that has barely moved since the 1800s. Michelin awarded it a Key.
