    Jade Dragon Snow Mountain fills the window before you've even unpacked, which sets the tone for this 55-villa luxury resort in the ancient Shuhe district of Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage town ringed by rice fields. Villas come with sprawling bedrooms, palatial bathrooms, and their own pools, jet or plunge or full swimming. A spa and a menu of treks by foot, bike, or horse through Yunnan countryside handle whatever restlessness the pools don't cure.
