A modern bistro on one of Norwich's scruffier, more interesting streets, Benedicts keeps things deliberately unfussy, letting Norfolk ingredients do the talking. The chef is a vocal champion of the region's larder, and the cooking wears that quietly, without turning the menu into a geography lesson. A few different menus run in varying lengths, and on warm days the alfresco small plates outside are a gentler way in.
