  1. Berowra Waters Inn

    Modern Australian

You reach this fine dining room by boat, which sets the tone before you've seen a menu. Perched on Calabash Point above the Hawkesbury, Berowra Waters Inn has been doing degustation with serious intent for longer than most of its guests have been alive. The chef's modern Australian cooking leans into native and coastal ingredients, and the water views do exactly what the water views always do here. An old-school institution, held to a high standard by its own long reputation.

    One honor, in evidence:

    The record strongest first

One number, weighted & current 82

Eat Score

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
