The old sake brewery still ferments on the ground floor, now producing for the hotel's own bar. BYAKU Narai is a boutique hotel assembled from abandoned Edo-period structures along the Nakasendo Road, including a guesthouse and a temple fragment, each room restored to show its bones. Rooms range from cozy historic cells to sprawling two-floor suites. A Japanese restaurant and public baths round things out, and the Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
