Cala del Pi

Stone terraces step down through century-old pines to a private beach at this adults-only five-star hotel on the Costa Brava. The building started life as a summer residence, and the old fireplace and a door to the original wine cellar survived the renovation intact. Rooms have exposed stone walls and sea-facing balconies in the upper categories. The restaurant leans into DO Empordà wines and local Costa Brava cooking, and has become a quiet reference point for the area.
