Three joined stone townhouses in a village small enough that the cats outnumber the tourists. Can Verdera is an adults-only boutique hotel in Fornalutx, with the Tramuntana mountains stacked across the view in every direction. Rooms run from terracotta-tiled doubles to a beamed penthouse with its own terrace. No children, no piped music, no pressure to do anything. The silence is the point, and the terraced gardens give you somewhere to sit in it.
