Less than an hour from Marrakech, Caravan by Habitas Agafay drops you into the rocky Agafay Desert with the Atlas Mountains sitting on the horizon. The 20 tented lodges borrow from Berber design and run on solar power, though the beds and stone terraces signal that roughing it isn't really the point.
