Each of the 15 rooms at this boutique hotel in Zacatecas is named after a different variety of quartz, a nod to the city's mining past that stops just short of geology class. The designs shift from room to room, so repeat guests have a reason to request something new. Up on the terrace bar, the view sweeps across the historic center to the Cathedral and Cerro de La Bufa. Family-run, and it shows in the way guests are looked after.
