The Gothic facade on Calle de San Pablo is austere enough to make you wonder if you've misread the booking, but the coffered ceilings and grand arched loggia inside settle it quickly: this is a 16th-century palace turned small hotel in the heart of Baeza's old town. Thirty rooms keep the stone walls and carved wood intact, some with private balconies. No restaurant, just a lobby bar, which is fine given how many tapas bars are within easy walking distance.
