    Floor-to-ceiling windows give every table a full shot of the Chiemsee, and the terrace puts you close enough to hear it. This is the hotel dining room of a lakeside retreat, done in warm wood and a handsome tiled stove softened by clean modern lines. The kitchen works the same way, taking regional Bavarian ingredients and giving them a contemporary nudge rather than a folkloric one.
