    A placard in the marble lobby lists every illustrious guest who has slept here, which sets the tone for this grand hotel on Budapest's Grand Boulevard. The neoclassical facade dates to the 1890s, and the gilded ballroom still feels like it expects an archduke. Modern rooms and a full ESPA spa sit behind all that heritage, and the conference facilities are the largest of any hotel in the city, if that matters to you.
