A small hotel built on the walls of a Norman castle, which is a fairly grand foundation for 21 individually decorated rooms, several with private terraces and estuary or garden views. The restaurant runs seasonal British menus, afternoon tea, and a Sunday lunch timed well for walkers returning from the hotel's own mapped routes through the Suffolk countryside. A Garden Suite opens directly onto the grounds.
