  1. Da Vinci

    French

The glass-fronted kitchen puts the chef on full display, which at a one-Michelin-star French restaurant in Limburg is exactly where you want your attention. Margo Reuten has held her star since the late nineties, a run that has earned her a singular place in Dutch culinary history. The cooking is contemporary but rooted in classical sauces, precise and generous in equal measure. The sommelier's wine pairings arrive with the kind of conviction that makes you stop arguing and just drink.

    Two honors, in evidence:

    The record strongest first

One number, weighted & current 91

Eat Score

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
