A rambling trattoria in the Monferrato hills where the menu reads like a regional catechism: bagna cauda, vitello tonnato, tripe, braised veal in Barbera d'Asti, all of it exactly as it should be. The wine list runs deep through Langhe and Asti, then keeps going through the rest of Italy and into France, which feels a little ambitious until you sit down. A Michelin Bib Gourmand, and in warm weather there's a terrace.
