Deqin Meri Poodom

At 3,600 meters on a Meili Snow Mountain viewing platform, this design hotel by Wu Bin treats architecture as a geological argument with its surroundings. Angular stone walls echo the Himalayan ridges, pale wood furniture and meditative courtyards strip everything back, and the large windows in every room turn the sunrise over the peaks into the only decor that matters. It's more sculpture than hotel, and the mountain seems fine with the comparison.
