Seven villas hand-built by local artisans from local wood sit inside an apple and apricot orchard in Leh, which gives you a rough idea of what this boutique resort is going for. The spa trades the usual anti-aging menus for meditation and treatments drawn from indigenous traditions, and the restaurant runs a hyper-seasonal kitchen garden alongside it all. The Himalayas do the decorating; the rugs and textiles come from nearby villages.
