Chestnut and cedar shade a former Belle Époque hotel that someone has put back together with real care, a Michelin Key hotel in the mountain village of Zonza, up in Corsica's Alta Rocca. Rooms layer salvaged stone, vintage mirrors, and island antiques with made-to-measure pieces, so nothing feels like a catalog. Outside, the Bavella peaks do the decorating. It's the kind of place that looks restored rather than renovated, which, in Corsica, is harder than it sounds.
