Domes of Elounda

Each of the 118 rooms at this Cretan resort is capped with a glass dome, which sounds like a gimmick until you're lying in one watching stars over the Aegean. Most private terraces face the ruined fortress on Spinalonga, the abandoned island just offshore. Rooms run white and blue, with hand-carved furniture and standard plunge pools or jacuzzis.
