Els Casals
Catalan
The five Rovira brothers run both the farm and the restaurant, so when the chef talks about knowing where the food comes from, he means he grew up with it. Tucked inside an old Catalan farmhouse in the hills above Berguedà, this Michelin-starred dining room serves seasonal Catalan cooking built almost entirely on what the family raises: Duroc pigs, their own hens, foraged mushrooms, truffles. A few guestrooms sit upstairs for anyone who doesn't want to leave.
