    Bamboo and stone pavilions follow the rice-terraced ridges of Kenderan as if the architects simply refused to flatten anything. This adults-only resort in the hills above Ubud is organized around a Balinese philosophy of deliberate stillness, with four pools, a spa pairing Turkish hammam rituals with Balinese life-path readings, and a waterfall fed by seven sacred springs just steps away. The Michelin Guide lists it among its Selected Hotels.
