    A 17th-century ophthalmology hospital turned boutique hotel, which gives the name a pleasing logic. The 36 rooms run across five styles, all muted palettes and minimalist lines that let the original exposed ceiling beams do the heavy lifting. Suites add high ceilings and city views. There's no on-site restaurant, but the sister hotel's spot is a short walk. Bikes are available to rent, which in Utrecht is less an amenity than a lifestyle requirement.
