Cashmere on the walls, not the bed, is the tell. This small, apartment-style hotel sits across from Central Park with no lobby to linger in and no public spaces to be seen in, which is rather the point. The Fasano brand's New York foothold runs to duplex suites with vintage furniture and park views, and a quiet caffè that doesn't announce itself. The crowd, such as it is, came specifically to avoid one.
