Fourteen seats inside the Tauern Spa wellness hotel, though you'd never know it from the room's quiet focus. Chef Christof Schernthaner runs a six-course set menu built around Salzburg's own larder, from Lungau Eachtling potatoes to Alpine prawns, and he carries the plates out himself to explain each one. It's a small, contemporary fine dining room that asks for a reservation before 11am on the day, which is either charming or a test of commitment.
