The dining room at Fogo Island Inn sits on stilts over the North Atlantic, which sets the tone before you've even ordered. The kitchen runs a locavore menu built almost entirely from what the island provides, so the fish on your plate may have been swimming that morning. The Michelin Guide awarded three Keys. Getting here takes real commitment, but the island is closer to the eastern seaboard than most maps make it feel.
