    A Forbes Five Star hotel in Dubai's financial district where the chandelier in the lounge maps actual constellations and the bar ceiling is shaped like falcons mid-flight. Designer Adam Tihany kept everything precise and quietly considered rather than gilded within an inch of its life, which is a deliberate choice in this city. Small, calm, and close to the best shopping, it reads more like a sophisticated boutique stay than a trophy tower.
