The walls here don't do neutral. Designer Russell Sage fitted this Highland country house hotel in maximalist, theatrical color, making it the loudest room in an otherwise very tweedy neighborhood. Each bedroom is different, all of them thoroughly luxurious, and dinner is served at a communal table with the kind of local produce the Highlands does well. The whisky connection, unsurprisingly, is not neglected. It holds a Michelin Key.
