Grand Resort Lagonissi

A sprawling seaside resort on its own peninsula thirty miles south of Athens, where the villas come with private heated pools and even the standard rooms have Jacuzzi tubs in their marble bathrooms. The design is quieter than the prices suggest, which is a relief when the Aegean is doing all the visual work anyway. A half-hour from the airport, though the preferred arrival method, apparently, is helicopter.
