A 26-room boutique hotel sitting between Opéra Garnier and Little Tokyo, Hana pulls off a Parisian-Japanese fusion that leans maximalist rather than austere, which puts it firmly against type for both cultures. Designer Laura Gonzalez layered the rooms with enough visual personality that you won't mistake your surroundings at 3am. Service runs more personal than formal, the small spa borrows from Far East treatments, and the restaurant Hanabi works Japanese flavors through both the food and the cocktails.
