Helmut Jahn designed this airport hotel in the 1990s, and the building still turns heads, which is more than you can say for most places you sleep between connections. It sits between terminals 1 and 2, so the captive-audience math is obvious, yet the rooms lean into Alpine style with some conviction and a spa is on hand for anyone arriving from a long-haul flight in a terrible mood. Two Bavarian restaurants cover both moods: quiet and formal, or loud and fed.
