    The restaurant here holds a Michelin star, but the hotel earns its keep too. This small boutique property near the center of Argentan runs bold and colorful in the common spaces, then pulls back to something quieter and more spare in the bedrooms. Normandy's countryside and D-Day sites are an easy drive, though guests seem just as happy to stay in for dinner at La Renaissance downstairs.
