A cliff hotel perched a thousand feet above the Bay of Naples, with views that sweep from Vesuvius to the Sorrentine peninsula and down to water so blue it looks retouched. The Terrace Bar serves oysters and champagne while you absorb the spectacle, and nearly every one of the 55 rooms faces the sea. A statue of Caesar Augustus stands guard on the grounds, eyes fixed on the water, apparently unmoved by the whole thing.
