Knotty-wood rooms with big windows facing the forest and a few with wood-burning stoves: this family-run alpine hotel in the Vercors has the feel of a farmhouse that slowly remembered it could have a pool. The name nods to the golf course next door, but guests mostly come to reach the cliffs and caves of Vercors Regional Natural Park. The on-site restaurant, Asterales, holds a Michelin star, which gives dinner an excuse to stay in.
