    An all-suite hotel on Kobe's waterfront Harborland district, La Suite earns its name without irony. Rooms run from the sensibly named Moderate up through Le Roi and La Reine, with French and Japanese restaurants providing harbor views after dark. The women-only spa is a genuine rarity in Japan. Business travelers have quietly known for years that Kobe, perpetually overshadowed by Osaka, rewards the detour.
